In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful. May Allah, the Exalted, send blessings and peace upon our Master Muhammad, his family and his companions. O Allah! By the rank that Your Prophet, our Master Muhammad (peace be upon him) has with You, by the love You have for him and he has for You, and by the secret between You and him, I ask You to send blessings and peace upon him, his family and his companions. Increase my love for him many times over. For his sake and his lofty stations, make me truly know him. Grant me success in following his way, living his manners and his sunnah. Grant me resolve in this. Honor me by allowing me to see the Messenger (peace be upon him). Gladden me by letting me converse with him. Remove difficulties, barriers, intermediaries and veils. Let my ears partake of his sweet address. Allow me to benefit from the knowledge and gnosis of the Messenger (peace be upon him), O Allah!... Make my prayers upon him a complete, pure, radiant light that erases every injustice, darkness, doubt, shirk, disbelief, falsehood and sin. Make that salat a cause for my purification. Through these blessings, raise me to the summit of the station of sincerity, so that no doubt remains in me that any worship is due to any besides You. Thus may I be worthy of Your presence and be joined among Your close friends. Grant that I do all this while always holding fast to the manners and sunnah of the Messenger (peace be upon him), seeking help from his noble person. O Allah! O Light! O Truth! O Manifest! O Allah! O Light! O Truth! O Manifest! O Allah! O Light! O Truth! O Manifest!

May Allah the Exalted send blessings and peace upon our master and patron Muhammad, his family and his companions.

O Allah! As You sent blessings upon our master Abraham, send blessings upon our master Muhammad, his wives and his descendants. As You bestowed blessings upon our master Abraham, bestow blessings upon our master Muhammad, his wives and his descendants. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You sent blessings upon our master Abraham, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. As You bestowed blessings upon our master Abraham, bestow blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You sent blessings upon our master Abraham, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. As You bestowed blessings upon our master Abraham, bestow blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master, the unlettered Prophet Muhammad, and upon his household.

O Allah! Send blessings upon Your servant and Messenger, our master Muhammad.

O Allah! As You sent blessings upon our master Abraham and his household, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You bestowed blessings upon our master Abraham and his household, bestow blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You had mercy on our master Abraham and his household, have mercy on our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You showed compassion to our master Abraham and his household, show compassion to our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You granted well-being to our master Abraham and his household, grant well-being to our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You sent prayers, mercy and blessing upon our master Abraham and his household among all beings, send prayers, mercy and blessing upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You sent blessings upon our master Abraham, send blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, upon his wives—the mothers of the believers—his progeny and his noble Household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You bestowed blessings upon our master Abraham, bestow blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! You who adorn the earth, create the lofty heavens, and turn hearts as they were created, good and bad; O Conqueror of the armies of falsehood, Proclaimer of the truth most rightly, Completer of what came before, Opener of doors that were closed to faith—bestow the highest mercy, ever-increasing blessings, and the warmest compassion upon Your Messenger and servant Muhammad. He guarded Your covenant, carried Your revelation in his heart, hastened to Your good pleasure without delay, obeyed You because it is Your command. That obedience became a shining light for those who seek it. By such a light, Allah’s grace reaches only the deserving, by the means that point to our master. Hearts drowned in sins and trials are guided back by the Messenger, for he clarifies the names, reveals the rulings, and lights the way of Islam in hearts. He is Your trusted emissary, the truthful guardian of Your hidden knowledge, Your witness on the Day of Resurrection, and the Messenger You sent with truth as mercy and favor.

O Allah! Expand his place in the Garden of Eden, reward him manifold from Your bounty. Grant him ongoing good without hardship or interruption.

O Allah! Elevate his station in the Garden of Firdaws above that of all others. Bestow upon him Your special nearness and grace. Reward him as a prophet whose testimony is accepted, whose word is pleasing to You, whose speech is clear, and whose proof is mighty.

Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings upon this Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings upon him and greet him with complete submission.

O Allah! I have answered Your call. My Lord, I ask You for felicity. O Most Merciful, Most Beneficent! May the prayers recited by the angels nearest to You, by the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, the righteous, and by all that glorifies You be upon the bringer of Islam by Your leave—the bearer of glad tidings, the witness, the Messenger of Allah, Lord of the worlds; the Imam of the people of piety, the master of messengers, the Seal of the Prophets, our master Abdullah’s son Muhammad. Peace be upon him.

O Allah! Grant Your prayers, blessings and mercy to the master of the messengers, the Imam of the pious, the Seal of the Prophets, the Prophet of mercy, the leader and guide of good—Your Messenger and servant, our master Muhammad.

O Allah! Raise him to the Praiseworthy Station that the first and the last will envy.

O Allah! As You sent blessings upon our master Abraham, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! As You bestowed blessings upon our master Abraham, bestow blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

Send blessings upon our master Muhammad, his household, his companions, his children, his wives, his descendants, his noble family, his kin by marriage, his helpers, those who follow him, those who love him, his ummah, and all of us together, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad by the number of those who send blessings upon him, and by the number of those who do not. O Allah! Send upon our master Muhammad the prayer You commanded us to recite for him. Send upon him in the manner You wish him to be blessed.

O Allah! Send upon our master Muhammad and his household the prayer You commanded us to recite for him, in the way most befitting him.

O Allah! Send upon our master Muhammad and his household the blessings that are worthy of him.

O Allah! Send upon our master Muhammad and his household blessings in the way You love and are pleased with.

O Allah, Lord of our master Muhammad and his household! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Grant him in Paradise the station of al-Wasila and its rank.

O Allah, Lord of our master Muhammad and his household! Reward our master Muhammad with the reward that befits him.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad, his household and his noble family.

O Allah! Send upon our master Muhammad and his household blessings until no blessing that should reach them remains withheld. O Allah! Show mercy upon our master Muhammad and his household until no mercy that should reach them remains withheld. O Allah! Bestow blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household until no blessing remains withheld. O Allah! Send peace upon our master Muhammad and his household until no greeting remains withheld.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad among the previous messengers, prophets and communities. O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad among the later communities until the Day of Resurrection. O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad among the prophets. O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad among the messengers. O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad among the Highest Assembly—the most exalted of angels, the near ones, the spiritual and luminous angels of the Throne—until the Day of Resurrection.

O Allah! Grant our master Muhammad the station of al-Wasila—which is the highest rank in Paradise—virtue, honor and the great lofty station.

O Allah! I have believed in our master Muhammad without having seen him. Do not deprive me of seeing him in the gardens. Grant me the blessing of his companionship. Cause me to die upon his religion, Islam. Let me drink from his basin whose drink leaves no thirst, soothing and satisfying. Truly, You are powerful over all things.

O Allah! Convey my greetings and salutations to the soul of our master Muhammad.

O Allah! Just as I believed in our master Muhammad without seeing him, do not deprive me of seeing his noble face in Paradise.

O Allah! Accept the greatest intercession of our master Muhammad. Raise his lofty rank even higher. Grant him in this world and the next all that You granted to our master Abraham and our master Moses.

O Allah! As You sent blessings upon our master Abraham and his household, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. O Allah! As You bestowed blessings upon our master Abraham and his household, bestow blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household. Truly, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

O Allah! Send prayers and peace upon Your Prophet and Messenger, our master Muhammad; upon Your chosen, pure friend our master Abraham; upon Your spoken-to Prophet, Your interlocutor and one who supplicated to You directly without intermediary, our master Moses; upon Your Spirit and Your Word our master Jesus who came to be by Your command “Be”; and upon the angels, messengers, prophets, righteous servants, and the elect pure friends whom You chose from the dwellers of heaven and earth. Bestow blessings and peace upon them all.

May Allah Most High send complete blessings and peace upon our master Muhammad, his noble household and pure progeny—in proportion to the number of rewards He accepts, to the weight of His Throne, to the number and abundance of His words, by the measure of the remembrance of those who remember Him, and even by the heedlessness of those who are heedless—according to what befits them.

O Allah! From the day You built the sky until now, by the number of raindrops that have fallen, send blessings upon our master Muhammad, his wives, his progeny, the prophets, messengers, angels, the angels of nearness, and all righteous servants. O Allah! From the day You spread and adorned the earth until now, by the number of plants that have grown, send blessings upon our master Muhammad. By the number of stars in the sky—whose number only You know—send blessings upon our master Muhammad. From the day You created until now, by the number of breaths of all spirits, send blessings upon our master Muhammad. And send upon him blessings by the measure of all You have created and will create, as encompassed by Your knowledge, multiplied many times over.

O Allah! By the number of Your creation, the weight of Your Throne, the measure of Your words, all that Your knowledge encompasses, and the number of Your verses—and by the amount with which You are pleased—send blessings upon our master Muhammad.

O Allah! Send upon them blessings and peace more excellent and more virtuous than the blessings of all Your servants, just as Your excellence and virtue surpass all creation.

O Allah! For as long as day and night continue without cease, by the number of raindrops that pour and drizzle, send blessings upon them without grief or interruption.

O Allah! By the number of Your creatures, by the reach of Your good pleasure, by the weight of Your Throne, by the number of Your words, by the infinitude of Your knowledge and the weight of all creation—by what Your knowledge encompasses and knows—send blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, upon Your friend Abraham, and upon all Your prophets, and upon the elect pure servants You chose from the dwellers of heaven and earth—blessings greater and nobler than all the prayers of creation.

O Allah! Make me among those who do not depart from the religion of Your Prophet and our master Muhammad; among those who revere him and honor his word and testimony of faith; among those who uphold his covenant of tawhid and prophethood, and protect his trust of Qur’an and Sunnah; among those sincere in his religion, who aid his call, increase his followers and accept being of his ummah. Gather me on the Day of Resurrection under his Banner of Praise, among those who do not oppose his way and his Sunnah.

O Allah! I want to hold fast to his Sunnah; I seek refuge in You from altering any of the commands and prohibitions he brought.

O Allah! I ask You for every good that our master, Your Prophet and Messenger Muhammad asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from every evil from which he sought refuge.

O Allah! Protect me from the evil of trials. Grant me well-being from every hardship. Rectify my outward and inward affairs. Purify my heart from rancor and envy. Make me someone who leaves no unpaid right of any servant.

O Allah! I wish to cling to the best of what You know to be good, and to leave all that You know to be evil. I ask that You provide for me, grant me contentment with what is sufficient, give me clear explanations for every doubtful matter, establish what is true in every proof, make me just in anger and in pleasure, make me surrender to Your decree as it unfolds, make me moderate in wealth and poverty, humble in word and deed, and truthful in speech whether serious or in jest.

O Allah! Truly I have some sins known only between You and me, and other sins between me and people—known to You and to them.

O Allah! Forgive what is between You and me. Assume and settle what is between me and people; lift those sins from me. Enrich me by Your bounty. Truly, You are the Most Forgiving.

O Allah! Illuminate my heart with Your knowledge. Use my body in Your obedience. Purify my soul from trials. Occupy my mind with worthy matters. Protect me from the whisperings of Satan. O Most Merciful! O Rahman! Save me from him until he has no power over me.

O Allah! Send everlasting blessings upon the ascetic Messenger of Allah, our master the Prophet Muhammad—blessings that never cease and that will be a means for us to be saved from the evil abode of Hellfire.

O Allah! Send countless, unnumbered blessings and peace upon our master the unlettered Prophet Muhammad and his household.

O Allah! Send upon our master Muhammad the blessing that will please him at the station of intercession You honor him with on the Day of Resurrection.

O Allah! Send upon our noble Prophet—upon whom revelation came and the Qur’an was sent down, who explained its meanings, whom Jibril (peace be upon him) visited with honor and virtue; whom the Almighty led by night on the Night Journey with Jibril; to whom He showed the seven heavens, the Lote Tree of the Furthest Boundary, the Footstool, the Throne, the Frequented House, the lofty gardens and the dominion of the unseen; who beheld the everlasting power of Allah and was illuminated by the light of His majesty and might—send a blessing equal to his beauty, perfection, goodness and virtues.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household by the number of raindrops.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household by the number of leaves of the trees.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household by the number of the foam of the seas.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household by the number of rivers.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household by the number of barren deserts and open plains.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household according to the weight of the mountains and stones.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household by the number of the people of Paradise and the people of Hell.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household by the number of righteous and sinful servants.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad and his household by the number of days and nights that have come and gone.

O Allah! Make our prayers upon our master Muhammad a veil against the punishment of Hell and a means to enter Paradise. Truly, You are Powerful and Forgiving.

May Allah Most High send continuous blessings upon our master Muhammad, his pure household and blessed lineage, his noble companions, the mothers of the believers—his wives—until the Day of Resurrection.

O Allah! Send blessings upon our master Muhammad—the master of the righteous and the pious, the adornment of the messengers, the most generous of those who hide in the darkness of night and shine with spiritual beauty by day—the most noble of all. (Repeated for emphasis.)

O Allah, Owner of goodness without equal, of generosity that cannot be repaid.

When Munkar and Nakir come to question us in the grave, open our tongues. Grant us success now, in this world, to do righteous deeds. On the Day of Resurrection, when the earth quakes and people writhe in distress, grant us safety from hardships. We ask only You, none besides You, O Possessor of Might and Majesty.

O Allah, the One who was before time and remains forever, who gives light to lights; the unique, self-sufficient, free of all defects; whom time cannot encompass nor place surround; who governs all things by power and is exalted— I ask You.

O Allah! By all of Your most beautiful names; by the highest name of Your Essence, the most noble in rank, greatest in reward, swiftest in acceptance; by Your hidden name, most exalted in majesty and loftiest in degree, by which whoever calls upon You is loved and answered— I ask You.

O Allah! By the word of tawhid that there is no god but You; by Your name al-Hannan (Most Tenderly Merciful), al-Mannan (Bestower without measure), the Creator of heaven and earth, Possessor of Majesty and Generosity, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Lord of limitless exaltation—O Allah!

By Your name which, when You are called upon by it, You answer; when asked by it, You give—O Most High—I ask You.

By the name that subdues every proud person, every king and sultan, every predatory beast, every creature that harms, every being You created—by that name I ask You, O Allah, O my Lord, accept my prayer. O Owner of might and grandeur, Lord of the unseen and the seen, the Ever-Living who never dies, I glorify You. Your majesty is exalted and Your station is high. You are my Lord. O Exalted, free of all imperfection! To You I turn; You alone I fear. O Magnificent, O Great, O Compeller, O All-Powerful, O Strong! You are holy and transcendent. O All-Knowing Allah! You are Most High. O Almighty Allah, I glorify You. O Majestic Allah, I glorify You.

O Allah! By Your great and perfect name that gathers all attributes of perfection: I ask You not to let the stubborn tyrants among jinn and humans, the rebellious devil, the envious person, the weak and afflicted of creation, nor the powerful when You will to take revenge—whether good or sinful servants or any obstinate creature—have authority over us.

O Allah! I present my needs only to You. I bear witness that You are Allah, there is no god but You—One, who neither begets nor is begotten, who has no equal. You are al-Samad, needed by all and in need of none. O Transcendent, incomparable in Essence and attributes; O Exalted, the True, whose very Self is none other; O Eternal, Everlasting, Creator of time; O Possessor of perpetual existence, the Ever-Living; our God and the God of all things, the One without partner—there is no god but You.

O Creator of the heavens! Knower of the hidden and the manifest; the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful; al-Hayy, Ever-Living; al-Qayyum, who governs all dominion; al-Dayyan, who will call all to account; al-Hannan, who shows the most subtle mercy; al-Mannan, who grants unearned gifts; the One who resurrects creation after death; al-Waris, who alone remains; the Possessor of Majesty and Generosity—O Allah! The hearts of all created beings are in Your grasp; You dispose of them as You will. You give them good when You will, and remove harm from them when You will.

Therefore, O Allah, I ask You to erase from my heart everything You dislike, and to fill it instead with Your awe, love-born fear, knowledge of You, longing for those near You, security and well-being. Grant us mercy and blessing. Inspire us to what is right and wise.

O Allah! Grant us the knowledge of those who fear Your majesty, the turning of those who turn solely to You, the sincerity of those with certainty, the gratitude of the patient, and the repentance of the truthful servants.

O Allah! By the beauty that fills the pillars of Your Throne, I ask You—in whatever manner is befitting—to plant in my heart the seed of gnosis until I truly know the reality of knowing You.

May Allah send blessings and perfect peace upon the Seal of the Prophets and Imam of the Messengers, our master Muhammad, his household and his companions. Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

O Allah! Forgive the author of this supplication (Shaykh Muhammad b. Sulayman al-Jazuli). Have mercy on him, O Lord of Mercy, al-Rahman. Make him among those gathered with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous.

O Allah! Forgive the one who corrected this book, Yusuf b. Muhammad—Your sinful, needy servant. Accept his repentance. You are Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. Amin. O Lord of the worlds!

O Allah! Forgive the sinful, needy servant who compiled and corrected these prayers in this book, Sha'ban Gunbey son of Salih. Have mercy on him, O Lord of Mercy, al-Rahman. Make him among those gathered with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous. Accept his repentance. You are Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. Amin. O Lord of the worlds!
